Residents in several parts of Bangladesh should prepare for rain and possible thunderstorms in the upcoming 24 hours. The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued a forecast warning of light to moderate rain or thundershowers across multiple divisions.

Affected Areas

The forecast indicates that the Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions are likely to experience light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds. In addition, parts of the Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions may also see some rain. There is a possibility of moderately heavy to heavy rainfall in isolated areas.

Temperature and Rainfall Overview

While the country can expect some rainfall, temperatures are expected to rise slightly. The highest temperature recorded on the previous day was 36 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi. The minimum temperature today is 24.5 degrees Celsius in Bandarban and Sylhet. In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall recorded was 100 millimetres in Rangamati.

In Dhaka, the sun will set at 6:36 pm today and rise at 5:32 am tomorrow. The forecast comes as a reminder for residents to stay prepared for changing weather conditions.

The weather forecast highlights the need for residents to take necessary precautions, particularly those in areas prone to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.
