Typhoon Dolphin caused hundreds of flight cancellations and disrupted travel in eastern China, even as the storm weakened. The weather system made landfall twice along the coast of Zhejiang province, prompting the China National Meteorological Centre to issue its least severe typhoon alert. However, heavy rain is expected to continue affecting parts of east and central China.
Shanghai's two main airports saw 943 flights cancelled, while public transport services in the financial hub were suspended. Ningbo international airport plans to resume operations but warns of potential delays. Meanwhile, northern China is bracing for extreme weather, with heavy rain alerts issued for several districts in Beijing.
