On August 7, 2026, the Rangpur Sahitya-Sanskriti Parishad (RSSP) gathered to mark the 85th death anniversary of the illustrious poet Rabindranath Tagore. Held at the Rangpur Sahitya Parisat auditorium, the event included a discussion, poetry recitation, and cultural program, celebrating Tagore's contributions to Bengali literature and culture.
Under the leadership of RSSP President Dr. Nasima Akter, the program featured insights from notable writers, educationists, and cultural figures. Professor Atahar Ali Khan presented a paper titled 'Rabindranath Alone and Abandoned', while other speakers emphasized Tagore's lasting influence on Bengali literature and his humanitarian philosophy.
