Rangpur transformed into a festive city as it celebrated the election of Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir as the country's 23rd President and Ruhul Kabir Rizvi as the acting Secretary General of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). The Rangpur Metropolitan BNP organized a congratulatory procession from the party office at Grand Hotel intersection, drawing hundreds of BNP leaders and workers. The procession, led by prominent local leaders, circled the city's main roads, creating a jubilant atmosphere. Participants raised slogans congratulating President Alamgir, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, and BNP acting Secretary General Rizvi. The event concluded with a rally at the party office, where speakers expressed hope for the development of Rangpur under the new leadership.

The election of Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and the appointment of Ruhul Kabir Rizvi have been met with widespread joy and gratitude among BNP supporters and local residents.
