Dhaka police have arrested two individuals and seized a total of 112 kilograms of ganja in two separate operations conducted in the Badda and Darus Salam road areas. The operations resulted in the arrest of Arif Miah and Amir Hamza, who are believed to be involved in long-term drug trading across different parts of the city.

First Operation in Badda

In the first operation, a team from the traffic police Gulshan zone intercepted a Rampura-bound jeep in front of Habib Plaza on Rampura road. Although the driver managed to escape, police recovered 100 kilograms of ganja from the vehicle. The jeep was seized, and a case was lodged with Badda thana.

Second Operation in Darus Salam

In a separate operation, the Detective Branch (DB) of police, Motijheel zone, arrested two drug traders from the Darus Salam area. During the arrest, police seized 12 kilograms of ganja from their possession. The estimated value of the seized ganja is over taka four lakhs.

Ongoing Investigations

Police believe that the arrested individuals and their accomplices have been involved in drug trading for an extended period. Lawful actions have been taken against the arrested persons, and investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend other members of the drug trafficking network.
