At least 34 people were arrested in a special operation in the Jatrabari area of Dhaka as part of ongoing police anti-crime drives. The operation was conducted on Wednesday in different areas under Jatrabari Police Station, according to a statement issued by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Thursday. Police said the arrested persons included seven wanted in different criminal cases, three accused in previous cases, and two arrested under outstanding warrants. The remaining 22 people were detained through mobile court proceedings. All the arrested persons have been sent to court, police said. Authorities added that similar operations would continue to maintain law and order in the capital.

The Jatrabari Police Station has been conducting these operations to curb criminal activities and ensure public safety. The recent operation is part of a larger initiative by the DMP to enhance security measures in Dhaka. The arrested individuals are now facing legal proceedings, and the police are committed to continuing these efforts to maintain law and order.
