Prime Minister Tarique Rahman visited the Museum of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in Beijing today. Accompanied by his wife, Dr. Zubaida Rahman, and his entourage, the premier toured the museum, which houses permanent and comprehensive exhibitions of the party's history.
Upon arrival, the museum's curator received the prime minister and provided a guided tour. The premier experienced an immersive audio-visual show and signed the visitors' book before departing at 12:40 pm local time for the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Rahman held a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Great Hall of the People. Prior to that, Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) of China, called on the prime minister at the same venue.
The premier arrived at the Great Hall of the People around 9:30 am after paying tributes at Tiananmen Square. He placed a special red-green wreath at the Monument to the People's Heroes, with the national anthems of both countries played and a bugle sounding the last post.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is in Beijing on a four-day official visit at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart, Li Qiang. This visit follows his participation in the World Economic Forum's Summer Davos 2026 in Dalian. He is scheduled to depart Beijing for Dhaka at 5:00 pm today.
