Turkish authorities have seized more than 10,000 historic artefacts from an Istanbul home, leading to the arrest of two individuals. The operation was conducted by the anti-smuggling directorate, according to Istanbul police chief Selami Yildiz.
Rich Historical Collection
The seized items include 3,366 coins, inscriptions, and various artefacts reflecting the social life, beliefs, and economic activities of the Hittite, Greek, Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman periods. The collection offers a comprehensive glimpse into the diverse historical epochs that have shaped the region.
