India's cricket team faces a significant blow as their star pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the upcoming Test series in Sri Lanka due to a knee injury. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed that Bumrah has not yet fully recovered from the injury sustained during the ODI series against England last month.

Aquib Nabi, a promising pace bowler from Jammu and Kashmir, has been called up to replace Bumrah in the 15-member squad. Nabi, who has claimed 104 wickets across the last two domestic Ranji Trophy seasons, recently toured Sri Lanka with the India A squad, where he claimed six wickets in two first-class matches.
