The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has unveiled a 15-member High Performance (HP) squad for the Top End T20 tournament in Darwin, Australia, from August 21 to 30. Wicketkeeper-batter Irfaan Shukkur will lead the team, which includes seven players with international experience. This marks Bangladesh's third participation in the Top End T20, having reached the final in one previous appearance. Nine teams, including New Zealand A, Nepal, and several Australian teams, will compete in the tournament.

The squad features experienced players such as Sabbir Rahman, who has played in all three formats of international cricket for Bangladesh. Other notable players include Rakibul Hasan, Abdul Gaffar Saqlain, Ripon Mondal, Abu Haider Rony, Shamim Patwari, and Mohammad Mrittunjoy Chowdhury. Each team will play six matches in the league phase, followed by semi-finals and the final.

Bangladesh's campaign will kick off against Nepal on August 22, followed by matches against Hobart Hurricanes Academy, Cricket Victoria XI, Adelaide Strikers Academy, New Zealand A, and Northern Territory Strike. The team's diverse experience and strategic planning aim to enhance their chances of success in the tournament.

The inclusion of seasoned players in the squad underscores BCB's focus on leveraging international experience to improve performance in the competitive environment of the Top End T20. The tournament provides a valuable platform for players to showcase their skills and contribute to the team's success.

With a mix of seasoned and emerging talent, the Bangladesh HP squad is poised to make a strong impact in the tournament. Their performance will be closely watched as they aim to overcome previous challenges and secure a title win.
