DRMC Students Meet Prime Minister Ahead of US RoboSub 2026 Competition

DHAKA - Students from Dhaka Residential Model College (DRMC), who will represent Bangladesh at the RoboSub 2026 international robotics competition in California, met with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at his Sangsad Bhaban office. During the meeting, the students presented their project to the Prime Minister, who engaged warmly and gained detailed insights into their innovative project, according to PM’s deputy press secretary Md. Suzauddhowla.

Encouragement and Support from the Prime Minister

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman encouraged the students to focus on research and science-based innovations. He congratulated them for representing Bangladesh on the international stage and highlighted the importance of science, technology, and innovation for the country’s future progress.

The students, members of the Project Poseidon’s Code team, briefed the Prime Minister on their initiative. This team is Bangladesh’s first underwater robotics initiative, launched by DRMC and supported by the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics at United International University (UIU). The Prime Minister expressed hope that their success would enhance Bangladesh’s global image.
