Prime Minister Tarique Rahman joined a doa mahfil to mark the 42nd death anniversary of his father-in-law, Rear Admiral Mahbub Ali Khan, at a solemn event in Dhaka.

In a heartfelt tribute, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman commemorated the 42nd death anniversary of Rear Admiral Mahbub Ali Khan, his father-in-law, by participating in a doa mahfil organized by the admiral's family. The event, held after Maghrib prayers at the admiral's Dhanmondi residence, 'Mahbub Bhaban', brought together a diverse assembly of dignitaries, family members, and close associates to honor the memory of the late naval chief and minister.

Accompanied by his wife Dr. Zubaida Rahman, their daughter Barrister Zaima Rahman, and other family members, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman was joined by Acting Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Barrister Kayser Kamal, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, and numerous cabinet members, lawmakers, and senior officials. The doa mahfil, rich with Islamic traditions, included special prayers and munajat for the eternal peace of Rear Admiral Mahbub Ali Khan.

The gathering also paid tribute to other notable figures, including Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, and Arafat Rahman Koko. Prominent Islamic scholars reflected on the life and contributions of Rear Admiral Mahbub Ali Khan, celebrating his legacy and the indelible mark he left on the nation's history.
