MP Azharul Islam Mannan distributed relief funds from the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund to 600 needy families in Sonargaon Upazila.

Sonargaon MP Azharul Islam Mannan distributed relief funds from the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund to 600 needy families in Sonargaon Upazila. The event took place at the Sonargaon Upazila Parishad conference room on June 24. A total of 17 lakh taka was distributed as financial assistance to the families.

Event Details

The distribution ceremony was chaired by Sonargaon Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Asif Al Jinat. Special guests included Upazila Project Implementation Officer (PIO) Sohag Ghosh, Upazila BNP Senior Co-Chairman Kazi Nazrul Islam Titu, General Secretary Mosharraf Hossain, Pourashava BNP Chairman Haji Shahjahan Miah, Senior Joint General Secretary Sadikur Rahman Sentu, District Volunteer Force Joint Convener Rubel Hossain, and former youth leader Harun-or-Rashid Mithu, among others.

MP's Remarks

In his speech, MP Azharul Islam Mannan praised Prime Minister Tareq Rahman's visionary leadership, stating that the country is progressing under his guidance. He also highlighted the Prime Minister's recent steps for the welfare of the people and the government's commitment to standing by the helpless. Mannan prayed for the long life and good health of Shahid President Ziaur Rahman, Begum Khaleda Zia, and Prime Minister Tareq Rahman.

Post-Event Activities

After the relief distribution, MP Azharul Islam Mannan met with the hospital management committee at Sonargaon Upazila Health Complex to discuss the overall medical services and infrastructural development. He provided various directives to improve the quality of patient care.
