Liberation War Affairs Minister Ahmed Azam Khan has stated that the government will implement the July Charter to build a prosperous and beautiful Bangladesh. Speaking at a memorial service in Rangpur for July martyrs, including Abu Sayeed, Mughdo, Wasim, and Maruf, Khan emphasized the government's commitment to institutionalizing democracy and honoring the July martyrs' spirit.

Khan highlighted the establishment of the July Directorate under the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs to ensure the implementation of the July Charter. He noted that the government, led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, has declared July 16 as July Martyrs’ Day to keep the memory of the martyrs alive.

The minister also addressed the development of Begum Rokeya University, promising new infrastructure including halls, a Teacher-Student Centre, Shaheed Abu Sayeed Gate, and a memorial mosque. In response to demands for employment generation, Khan announced plans for an industrial park in Rangpur.

Khan urged patience, stating that the government, which took charge five months ago, needs time to rebuild the nation. He expressed hope that the ideals of the July Uprising would lead to a beautiful, prosperous, and democratic Bangladesh. State Minister for Water Resources Forhad Hossain Azad called for swift justice in the Abu Sayeed murder case.
