The Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) has announced that the results for the postponed primary scholarship exam are in the final stages of verification. Over six lakh students who took the exam will soon be able to access their results online and via SMS. DPE Director General Shaheena Ferdousi confirmed that the results will be released very soon after thorough checking to ensure accuracy.

The exam, originally scheduled for 2025 but held from April 15 to 18, 2026, across the country except for the three hill districts, saw participation from over six lakh students. Out of these, 82,500 students will be selected for scholarships based on merit. Government primary school students will receive 80% of the scholarships, while the remaining 20% will go to students from non-government kindergarten schools.

Selected students will receive financial benefits under two categories: Talent Pool and General Grade. Talent Pool students will receive Tk 300-350 per month and Tk 225 annually, while General Grade students will receive Tk 225-250 per month and Tk 225 annually. These benefits will be provided for three years, from class six to eight. There is also a proposal under consideration to increase the scholarship amount in the future.
