A total of 35 women entrepreneurs in Gazipur received TK 37.50 lakh in microcredit and certificates after completing skill development training under an initiative of the Gazipur District Office of Jatiya Mohila Sangstha with support from the district administration. The beneficiaries completed training in sewing and embroidery, graphic design, and office applications.

Support for Small Businesses

The microcredit will support small businesses such as tailoring, goat rearing, dairy farming, and vegetable cultivation. Funds will be disbursed directly to the entrepreneurs' bank accounts, providing them with the financial means to start or expand their businesses.

Encouragement for Self-Reliance

Speaking at the program as the chief guest, Gazipur Deputy Commissioner Md. Nurul Karim Bhuiyan urged the women to use their newly acquired skills to become self-reliant and create employment opportunities for others. He also encouraged them to take advantage of digital platforms to expand their businesses, highlighting the increasingly important roles women are playing across different sectors.

Continued Administrative Support

Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Sajjat Hossain presided over the event. During the ceremony, he assured the entrepreneurs of continued administrative support. District Officer of Jatiya Mohila Sangstha Shahnaz Parvin outlined the program and its objectives.
