According to a Met office bulletin issued this morning, rain is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.

The bulletin also mentioned that moderately heavy to very heavy rainfalls may occur at places over the country. This widespread rainfall could impact daily activities and transportation across the nation.

In the last 24 hours (till 6 am today), the highest rainfall of 221 millimetres was recorded in Chattogram, followed by 179 mm in Satkhira and 163 mm in Gopalganj. These heavy rains indicate an active monsoon season.
