The local government division (LGD) has directed all municipalities across Bangladesh to submit progress reports on the implementation of the government's 180-day action plan, adopted in line with the present government's election manifesto, within the stipulated timeframe. The directive was issued in a letter circulated on July 28 by the Municipal-1 wing of the LGD under the ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives.

Action Plan Deadline

Following instructions from the Prime Minister's Office, municipalities are required to prepare implementation progress reports covering activities up to the 180th day of the action plan, which falls on August 16. All municipalities have been instructed to send reports containing implementation progress up to August 16 to the LGD.

Submission Requirements

The reports must be submitted in Microsoft Word format via email to the designated LGD email address. Additionally, hard copies of the reports must be compulsorily submitted to the Municipal-1 wing of the LGD. The letter, signed by LGD joint secretary Md. Sagir Hossain, has been sent to all divisional directors of local government across the country. The LGD has also requested its system analyst to take the necessary steps to publish the directive on the division's official website.
