RAB-13 Arrests Man with 600 Tapentadol Tablets in Dinajpur Raid

An alleged drug dealer was arrested with 600 Tapentadol tablets in Dinajpur by the Rapid Action Battalion.

In a significant operation, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested an alleged drug dealer with 600 pieces of contraband Tapentadol tablets from his house in Nurpur village under Ghoraghat police station in Dinajpur on Tuesday evening. The raid, conducted at 6:30 pm following a tip-off, led to the seizure of the drugs and the arrest of Md Iqbal Hossain, 43, son of Iman Ali of the same village.

Operation Details

The RAB-13's Dinajpur Camp team executed the raid based on intelligence. A press release from RAB stated that the operation was successful in apprehending the suspect and seizing the contraband. The tablets, a controlled substance often used for pain management, were found in Hossain's possession.

Legal Proceedings

Following the arrest, RAB filed a case and handed over the seized drugs and the arrested individual to Ghoraghat police station for further legal action. The incident highlights the ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to curb the illegal drug trade in the region.
