12 Arrested in Jatrabari Police Crackdown on Crime

Police in Jatrabari arrested 12 individuals involved in various criminal activities during a recent operation.

In an effort to maintain law and order in Dhaka, Jatrabari police from the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) executed a special drive on Thursday, resulting in the arrest of 12 individuals suspected of various criminal activities. The operation, carried out in the Jatrabari area, targeted both regular criminals and individuals involved in other offenses. Authorities are currently processing legal actions against the arrestees, with plans to continue such drives.

The 12 individuals apprehended include Md Shakil, 23, Md Bappi, 27, Md Azizul Sheikh Aidul, 40, Md Didar Mia, 39, Md Sharif, 29, Md Tamim Mia, 22, Nur Mohammad Hasan alias Md Hasan Mia, 32, Md Saddam Hossain, 30, Md Abul Kashem, 52, Md Rifat Hossain Mimu, 29, Md Suman, 24, and Sohag Ahmed. According to the DMP, these individuals were involved in a range of criminal activities.

Jatrabari police have emphasized that such special operations are part of ongoing efforts to enhance security in the capital. The arrested individuals were identified through intelligence and community tips, leading to a coordinated effort to apprehend those involved in illegal activities.

Law enforcement officials highlighted the importance of community cooperation in identifying and apprehending criminals. The arrests reflect the DMP's commitment to ensuring public safety and reducing crime rates in Dhaka.
