In a significant effort to curb crime in the city, the Tejgaon Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 71 individuals during anti-crime drives on August 13. The arrests were made in various police station areas, including Motijheel, Paltan, Sabujbagh, Khilgaon, Rampura, Shahjahanpur, and Mugda. According to a press release from the DMP's media and public relations division, the operation is part of ongoing efforts to maintain law and order and control crime in Dhaka.

The DMP has been intensifying its operations in different police station areas to ensure safety and security within the capital. The recent drive resulted in the arrest of four individuals by the Motijheel Police Station, six by Paltan, four by Sabujbagh, 15 by Khilgaon, seven by Rampura, 17 by Shahjahanpur, and 18 by Mugda. Legal proceedings against those arrested are currently underway.

The DMP's proactive measures reflect a commitment to addressing criminal activities and ensuring the safety of Dhaka's residents.
