Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu has emphasized the need to develop Lalmonirhat district as a regional economic hub, citing its potential in border trade, agriculture, tourism, and human resources. Speaking at the 'Hamar Lalmoni' exhibition in Lalmonirhat, Dulu stressed the importance of developing the Burimari land port, trade, communication, agriculture, and agro-based industries to unlock Lalmonirhat's economic potential.

Dulu highlighted the district's rich history, tradition, and cultural heritage, which are deeply intertwined with the livelihood of the people living along the Teesta River. He pointed out that Lalmonirhat's economic base is rooted in agriculture and the cultural practices of the local population. The minister also noted the significance of the Teesta River and Dharla River in the daily lives of Lalmonirhat residents.

Representatives from various sectors, including politicians, teachers, lawyers, and journalists, attended the event. Dulu reassured that Lalmonirhat's future development will blend its cultural heritage with modern advancements, aiming to create a prosperous and peaceful district. He also underscored the importance of preserving Lalmonirhat's folk music, traditions, and festivals as part of the nation's cultural heritage.

The minister's vision for Lalmonirhat aligns with broader economic goals in Bangladesh, aiming to transform the district into a thriving hub that contributes significantly to the national economy.
