A Swift and Effective Rescue Operation
The two students, aged 13 and 12, went missing from in front of the Al-Jamia As-Salafia educational institution on August 10. Their families filed General Diaries with the Shahmakhdum Thana police the following day. Under the direction of RMP Commissioner Mohammad Faizul Kabir, the police initiated a search operation using advanced information technology and intelligence.
A specialized team from Shahmakhdum police tracked the students to Cox's Bazar. Acting on this information, they conducted a successful operation to bring the students back safely. During preliminary questioning, the students revealed that they had traveled to Cox's Bazar to visit the sea beach.
After ensuring the students were in normal physical and mental condition, the police completed necessary procedures and handed them over to their fathers at the Shahmakhdum Thana. The families expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the RMP for their swift and effective action.
