Dhaka Police Detain 124 Individuals in Extensive City-wide Crime Operation

In a significant operation, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 124 individuals across multiple stations to combat rising crime.

Police in Dhaka have arrested 124 people in targeted operations across several police stations as part of an ongoing drive against crime. The arrests took place during special raids in Tejgaon Division, Hazaribagh, Uttara West, Turag, Bangshal, and Jatrabari, focusing on suspects linked to various criminal activities.

Targeted Raids in Crime-Prone Areas

Tejgaon Division saw the highest number of arrests with 58 individuals detained, followed by 19 in Hazaribagh. Uttara West, Turag, and Bangshal together recorded 33 arrests, while Jatrabari had 14. The operations were conducted in areas identified as crime hotspots to enhance law and order.

Legal Proceedings Underway

All those arrested have been presented before the courts or are currently undergoing legal proceedings, according to the respective police stations. The police emphasized that these operations are part of a broader effort to maintain public safety and reduce criminal activities in the city.
