A seminar titled 'Wildlife Conservation and Our Responsibility' was held in Rajshahi to raise public awareness about wildlife conservation, biodiversity protection, and environmental issues. Organized by Bangladesh Animals Allies Volunteers (BAAV) at the Conference Room of Rajshahi Nagar Bhaban, the event highlighted the crucial role of wildlife in maintaining ecological balance. The Administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation, Md. Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, stressed the importance of public awareness and active participation alongside government initiatives.
Special guests, including the Chief Veterinary Officer at Rajshahi University, Dr. Hemayetul Islam Arif, and the Chairman of Save the Nature and Life, Md. Mizanur Rahman, emphasized the importance of adhering to wildlife conservation laws, protecting animal habitats, and promoting environmentally friendly behavior. They called for greater youth involvement in wildlife and nature protection and urged the creation of a social movement to prevent illegal wildlife hunting and trafficking.
The seminar brought together representatives from various voluntary organizations, students, environmental activists, and conscious citizens. Speakers advocated for increased public engagement in wildlife conservation and coordinated initiatives for environmental protection. The event underscored the necessity of collective action in addressing environmental challenges.
