The Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) in Rangpur arrested two individuals and seized 16,000 Tapentadol tablets from a parcel of the Steadfast Courier Service at the Ideal intersection on Thursday night. The operation was conducted based on secret information about a large quantity of contraband Tapentadol tablets being transported through a courier service.

A smart team of DNC personnel conducted surveillance on the Steadfast Courier Service at the Ideal intersection in the RK Road area. At 8:30 pm, they conducted a raid and recovered 16,000 pieces of Tapentadol tablets from a parcel. Md Abdur Razzaque, Rangpur Regional Sales Manager of Sharif Pharmaceuticals, and Md Sagar, a representative of Popular Pharmaceuticals, were arrested at the scene.

After filing a case, the DNC personnel handed over the seized Tapentadol tablets and the arrested individuals to the Rangpur Metropolitan Kotwali police station. Deputy Director of Rangpur District DNC Md Abu Jafar confirmed the matter and stated, 'Our operation against drugs will continue.'
