Public Health Response
The DGHS and other health authorities are working to manage the outbreak by providing medical care, conducting vaccination campaigns, and raising public awareness about measles prevention. The government has also been coordinating with international health organizations to support these efforts.
Why This Matters
Measles is a highly contagious viral disease that can lead to severe complications, especially in children. The recent increase in cases and deaths underscores the importance of vaccination and public health interventions. Ensuring that communities are informed and protected against measles is crucial to preventing further spread and protecting vulnerable populations.
