Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today called upon the students to prepare themselves to help build a developed and prosperous Bangladesh, describing the new generation as the country’s future leaders. He made the call when hosting a luncheon for a group of students, teachers, and visitors from various educational institutions, who enjoyed the parliamentary session.
Engaging with the Future Leaders
The luncheon, held at the VIP Cafeteria of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, was attended by 29 law students from the Canadian University of Bangladesh, 21 individuals including underprivileged students who attended through Surabhi and their teachers, and 16 individuals including students from the Tejgaon College Debating Society and their teachers. During the event, the Prime Minister interacted with the students, inquired about their studies, and discussed various topics with them.
Holistic Development Emphasized
Prime Minister Rahman emphasized that, alongside academic pursuits, students should also give importance to sports and strive to develop themselves into capable, skilled, and responsible citizens. The students and teachers expressed their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Prime Minister for giving them the opportunity to participate in the luncheon.
Parliamentary Experience
As part of their visit to Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, the students learned about the activities of the Parliament Secretariat, visited the Parliament Library, took part in a photo session at the North Plaza, and observed parliamentary proceedings from the visitors' gallery in the parliamentary chamber.
