The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations scheduled for tomorrow, July 8, in Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, and Rangamati districts under the Chattogram Education Board have been postponed due to adverse weather and flood conditions. The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Dhaka Education Board announced the decision.

Postponed Exams

The postponed exams include HSC under the General Education Board, Alim under the Madrasa Education Board, HSC (BM), HSC (Vocational), and Diploma in Commerce under the Technical Education Board.

Unaffected Districts

However, exams in other districts under the Chattogram Board, including Bandarban and Khagrachhari, will be held as per the previously announced schedule.

Other Boards Unaffected

The Coordination Committee further clarified that examinations under the country's other nine general education boards, as well as the madrasa and technical boards (except for the three affected districts) will be held tomorrow as scheduled.

New Schedule to be Announced

A new schedule for the postponed exams for the three districts will be announced later through an official notice.

Why This Matters

The postponement of these exams is significant for students in the affected districts, as it provides them with additional time to prepare under safer conditions. It also highlights the challenges posed by adverse weather and natural disasters on educational activities in Bangladesh. The new schedule will be crucial for students to plan their studies and exam preparations accordingly.
