Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A. B. M. Obaidul Islam left Dhaka today for a four-day official visit to London, UK. The purpose of the visit is to attend the council meeting of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) and participate in a roundtable discussion on the future of higher education leadership.

Roundtable Discussion on Future Leadership

During his visit, Prof. Obaidul Islam will take part in a roundtable titled "Leading Universities through Transformation: What will Higher Education Leadership Require by 2035?" The discussion will focus on the evolving role of universities, leadership challenges, and the need for diverse and inclusive leadership pathways.

ACU Council Meeting

Prof. Obaidul Islam is scheduled to attend the ACU Council Meeting on July 9-10. This meeting will bring together university leaders from across the Commonwealth to discuss mutual interests in higher education, research, and scholarship programs.
