On July Uprising Day, the Ziaur Rahman Foundation (ZRF) honored those who sacrificed their lives during the 1975 July Mass Uprising. The foundation, through a statement by Executive Director Professor Dr Farhad Halim Doner, described the martyrs' sacrifices as a lasting symbol of the nation's fight for democracy, justice, and freedom from oppression. Emphasizing the significance of these sacrifices, ZRF called on the nation to safeguard democracy, protect human rights, and work towards a just and inclusive Bangladesh. The statement highlighted that the bloodstains of the martyrs would remain in the nation's memory, and preserving the dignity of their sacrifices was essential for strengthening democratic values.

The July Uprising, which occurred in 1975, was a significant event in Bangladesh's history. The ZRF underscored that the sacrifices made during this uprising should serve as a perpetual reminder that freedom, democracy, and human rights are not easily attained and require continuous vigilance and dedication. Many families continue to grapple with the pain of losing their loved ones, and the unresolved grief of parents and children remains a poignant aspect of this historical event.

The foundation stressed that by honoring the martyrs, the nation pays tribute to those who laid down their lives for the country's freedom. ZRF urged the citizens to ensure that the sacrifices of the martyrs are never forgotten and to strive towards building a society where democracy, human rights, and justice prevail. The statement concluded by reaffirming the foundation's commitment to preserving the memory of the martyrs and promoting the values they stood for.

In the context of Bangladesh, the July Uprising holds a crucial place in the nation's history. The sacrifices of the martyrs during this period have been instrumental in shaping the country's journey towards democracy. By commemorating their bravery and dedication, the ZRF aims to inspire current and future generations to uphold the principles of freedom and justice.
