BMD Forecast: Rain Expected in Five Divisions

Bangladesh Meteorological Department forecasts rain or thundershowers in multiple divisions.

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light to moderately heavy rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind and lightning flashes across the country over the next 24 hours, beginning from 9:00 am today.

Rain Expected in Multiple Divisions

According to a BMD bulletin issued this morning, light to moderately heavy rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind and lightning flashes are likely at most places over Khulna, Barishal, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions.

Heavy Rainfall in Some Areas

Moderately heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur at places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, the bulletin said.

Stable Temperatures

Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged across the country, it added.

Highest and Lowest Temperatures

The highest temperature on Monday was recorded at 35.0 degrees Celsius in Rangpur and Syedpur, while the lowest temperature today was 23.5 degrees Celsius in Bandarban.

Sunrise and Sunset

In Dhaka, the sun will set at 6:50 pm today and rise at 5:17 am tomorrow, the bulletin added.
