In a significant operation, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested Khabir Molla, the alleged chief of the notorious 'Khabir Bahini' robbery gang, in Khulna's Dighalia upazila. The arrest took place on Wednesday afternoon in the Gazirhat area under Dighalia Police Station. RAB-6, acting on a tip-off, conducted the drive and apprehended Molla, 47, son of Kawsar Molla of Jangushia village. He is accused of leading the 'Khabir Bahini', a gang known for its criminal activities.

Weapons and Ammunition Seized

During the operation, RAB members recovered a one-shooter gun, two rounds of live ammunition, and a Chinese axe from Molla's possession. The seized items were confiscated following legal procedures in the presence of witnesses.

Khabir Molla is described as a professional robber and armed criminal. A review of his criminal records reveals that he is accused in 13 cases, including murder, illegal arms, and robbery, filed with different police stations in Khulna and Narail districts.
