Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) detectives arrested an alleged drug peddler along with 1,000 pieces of yaba tablets during a raid in the Sonadanga Model Police Station area of the city. The arrest took place on July 5 at around 7.30 pm in front of Runner Motorcycle Showroom on M.A. Bari Road at Gollamari. The accused, Md. Shakil Jamaddar, 28, son of Salam Jamaddar, is a resident of Hajibari Mor area under Khulna Sadar Police Station.

A team from the Metropolitan Detective Branch (DB), acting on confidential information, conducted the raid. Shakil was apprehended while in possession of the yaba tablets. The operation highlights the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat drug trafficking in the region.
