Khulna Development Authority (KDA) Chairman Advocate Shafiqul Alam Mona today announced the initiation of emergency repair work on the dilapidated Shipyard Road in Khulna city. The road, a vital transport corridor for the region, has long been in poor condition, causing significant suffering for commuters, transport operators, and businesses. The emergency repairs aim to make the road motorable until permanent carpeting work is completed.

Advocate Shafiqul Alam Mona emphasized the importance of the road in communication and economic activities. He stated, 'Commuters, transport operators and businesses have long been suffering due to the poor condition of the road. To provide immediate relief to the public, we have launched emergency repair work with our own initiative and funding.'
