On Wednesday, the Bangladesh Consulate General in Istanbul solemnly observed July Mass Uprising Day, marking the sacrifices of martyrs and reaffirming the ideals of democracy, justice, and national unity. The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by messages from the President and the Prime Minister, as conveyed in a press release. A documentary on the July Mass Uprising was screened, and the day’s significance was discussed among members of the Bangladeshi community residing in Istanbul.

Consul General Muhammad Mizanur Rahman paid tribute to the martyrs, emphasizing the uprising's role in advancing people's rights and justice in Bangladesh. He praised the contributions and sacrifices of the younger generation and the expatriates during the July-August movement. He expressed optimism that the martyrs' sacrifices would inspire future generations with patriotism and democratic values.

During the open discussion, community members reflected on the uprising's importance and shared their memories of participation in the movement. They stressed the importance of promoting national unity, democratic values, and social harmony, and contributing to the country's development. The speakers also pledged to work collectively to project Bangladesh's positive image and history before the international community.
