In a major anti-crime initiative, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) conducted a 24-hour operation across Dhaka, leading to the arrest of 414 individuals and the filing of 47 cases. The arrests spanned various areas of the city, with significant numbers coming from Mirpur, Tejgaon, and Uttara Division.

The DMP's operation, which covered multiple districts, resulted in the arrest of 27 suspects from Ramna Division, 22 from Lalbagh, 48 from Wari, 72 from Motijheel, 45 from Tejgaon, 112 from Mirpur, 35 from Gulshan, and 53 from Uttara Division. Legal actions are currently being processed against those arrested.
Items Seized During the Operation
During the drives, police confiscated a variety of illicit items, including a foreign-made revolver, three rounds of ammunition, 30.54 kilograms of cannabis, 10,287 yaba tablets, 18 syringes, 24 needles, 4,022 packets of cigarettes, 13 mobile phones, five banned leaflets, counterfeit currency worth Tk 50,000, and several other items linked to criminal activities.
