Professor Akhtar Hossain of the Department of Civil Engineering has joined as the new Pro-Vice Chancellor (Pro-VC) of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET). He formally submitted his joining letter to Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr S M Abdur Razzak this morning. On the occasion of his appointment, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr S M Abdur Razzak, on behalf of the RUET family, congratulated Professor Akhtar Hossain. Later, teachers, students, officers, and employees of the university greeted the newly appointed Pro-VC with flowers.
Earlier on Monday, the Secondary and Higher Education Division under the Ministry of Education announced the appointment of Professor Dr Md Akhtar Hossain as the Pro-Vice Chancellor of RUET through a notification issued by its Scholarship and Engineering University Branch.
Professor Akhtar Hossain's appointment is expected to bring significant contributions to RUET, enhancing its academic and administrative functions. His expertise in civil engineering and previous academic roles position him well to support the university's growth and development.
