HSC candidates must answer six questions in the grammar section of Bengali 2nd Paper, worth 30 marks. The remaining 70 marks are for the composition section. Proper answers to both sections will determine the final score.
Grammar Section Breakdown
1. Bengali pronunciation rules and correct pronunciation (5 marks): Answer one out of two questions. One question will ask for five rules of pronunciation, and the other will require correcting the pronunciation of five out of eight given incorrect words.
2. Standard Bengali spelling rules and correct spelling (5 marks): Answer one out of two questions. One question will ask for five rules of spelling, and the other will require correcting the spelling of five out of eight given incorrect words.
3. Grammatical word classes and identification (5 marks): Answer one out of two questions. One question will be descriptive about word classes, and the other will require identifying word classes in a given passage.
4. Bengali word formation and compound words (5 marks): Answer one out of two questions. One question will be descriptive about prefixes, and the other will require identifying compound words in a given passage.
5. Sentence structure and sentence transformation (5 marks): Answer one out of two questions. One question will be descriptive about sentence structure, and the other will require transforming sentences as per instructions.
6. Misuse and correct usage of Bengali and paragraph correction (5 marks): Answer one out of two questions. One question will require correcting misuse and incorrect usage in a given paragraph, and the other will require correcting five out of eight given incorrect sentences.
