Canada's Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has urged applicants to be more cautious and prepared when applying for visa or immigration programs. Many applications face unnecessary delays due to incomplete information, missing documents, or errors in form filling. To prevent this, several key steps have been advised.

Applicants are encouraged to submit their applications online if possible. Each question on the application form must be answered completely, clearly, and truthfully. If a question is not applicable, 'N/A' should be indicated. It is also crucial to attach all necessary documents, including passport, photos, birth certificate, language test results, financial, and medical documents. If these documents are not in English or French, certified translations must be provided. Unless specifically requested, original documents do not need to be sent.

The IRCC has emphasized that only the required documents should be submitted, as excess documents can slow down the application process. Applicants are advised to follow government instructions for submitting photos, include information for all family members, and double-check contact details such as phone numbers, emails, and addresses. Ensuring that the application is signed and dated, fees are correctly paid, and payment methods are accurate is also important.

If additional information or documents are requested during the application review, they should be submitted as soon as possible to expedite the process. Experts recommend reviewing the entire application file at least twice before submission, as even minor errors can cause significant delays or complications.
