A few places in Rajshahi and Khulna divisions may also experience rain or thundershowers, while moderately heavy rainfall is expected at places across the country.

Weather Influences

The weather is being influenced by a Depression over Vidarbha and adjoining south Madhya Pradesh, which is moving westwards and is likely to weaken gradually. The monsoon remains fairly active over Bangladesh, with the monsoon trough extending across the central part of the country.

Temperature Outlook

Day temperatures may rise slightly, while night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged nationwide. The highest temperature on Thursday was recorded at 34.5°C in Saidpur, while the lowest temperature recorded today was 23.6°C in Sylhet. The sun sets at 6.43 pm today and rises at 5.28 am tomorrow in Dhaka.

Why This Matters for Bangladesh

Rainfall is crucial for Bangladesh's agriculture, which is heavily dependent on monsoon rains. However, excessive rain can lead to flooding, which poses a significant risk to lives and property. Accurate weather forecasting helps authorities and citizens prepare for potential disruptions.
