Association of Engineers Bangladesh (AEB) Convener Engineer Shahrin Islam Tuhin today announced that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has initiated efforts to rebuild the country. Speaking as the chief guest at a views-exchange meeting with businesspeople at the Nilphamari Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Tuhin emphasized that Nilphamari will not be left behind in this rebuilding process. The meeting aimed to discuss strategies for the development of trade and commerce in the district, as well as expanding opportunities for higher education.
Engineer Shahrin Islam Tuhin highlighted the commitment to improving Nilphamari's education sector. He noted that many students from the district were falling behind in admissions to universities and medical colleges due to a lack of quality educational institutions. "Work is underway to establish quality educational institutions to advance the district's education sector," he said.
The views-exchange meeting was presided over by Nilphamari Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Md Mahbub Ur Rahman. The event brought together business leaders and entrepreneurs from various sectors to discuss collaborative efforts for the district's growth. Earlier in the day, Tuhin distributed scholarships among 80 poor and meritorious students at a program organized by the District Council at the Circuit House auditorium.
At the scholarship distribution program, it was announced that the District Council would provide scholarships to 338 students who secured GPA-5 in this year's SSC examinations. Scholarship cheques were handed over to 80 students on the day. The program was presided over by District Council Administrator Md Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury.
Nilphamari, a district in northern Bangladesh, has faced challenges in both economic development and educational opportunities. The initiatives announced by AEB Convener Engineer Shahrin Islam Tuhin and the District Council are part of broader efforts to address these issues and foster growth in the region.
The rebuilding efforts under Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's leadership signify a renewed focus on comprehensive development across Bangladesh. By targeting specific districts like Nilphamari, the government aims to ensure that all regions benefit from the ongoing development initiatives, ultimately contributing to the nation's progress.
