Rajshahi Hosts Training Workshop on Safe Pesticide Practices for Farmers

A workshop in Rajshahi taught farmers about safe pesticide use for healthier food production.

RAJSHAHI - An awareness training workshop on safe pesticide use for food production was held at Paba Upazila Farmer Training Center in Rajshahi. Organized by Intefa, the workshop aimed to raise awareness among farmers about the proper use of pesticides and safe crop production. After the training, safety clothing, sprayer-charger machines and other necessary materials were distributed among 45 farmers.

Importance of Safe Food Production

Paba Upazila Agriculture Officer Abdul Mannan attended the programme as the chief guest. He emphasized that safe and nutritious food is essential for human health, disease resistance and mental well-being. He urged all concerned to work together for safe food production.

Training Highlights

Intefa Rajshahi Divisional Coordinator Abdul Barik discussed safe pesticide application methods and product guidelines for preventing diseases in paddy and other crops. The programme was moderated by Intefa Rajshahi Territory Officer Sabbir Ahmed. Upazila Agricultural Extension Officer Raihan Uddin, Intefa District Coordinator Shahidul Islam, Sub-Assistant Plant Protection Officer Hafizur Rahman and other officials were present.
