In a coordinated effort to curb crime and drug trafficking, the Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) arrested 26 individuals and confiscated a significant amount of drugs and narcotics in a 24-hour operation across the city. Under the leadership of RpMP Commissioner Mohammad Abdul Mabud, multiple units executed special raids that led to the successful capture of individuals involved in various criminal activities, including drug dealing.

Operation Details

The operation, overseen by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DB) Sanatan Chakraborty, saw the DB police arresting four people and seizing Yaba tablets and ganja. The Kotwali Metropolitan Police Station led separate operations, capturing 16 individuals, including four cheats and alleged drug dealers, and seizing drugs such as Yaba tablets, ganja, and heroin. Other stations, including Hajirhat, Haragachh, and Porshuram, also contributed to the arrests, capturing individuals with Yaba tablets and stolen goods.
