Mugda police have arrested 12 people in a special operation as part of ongoing anti-crime drives.

Mugda police have arrested 12 individuals in a special operation conducted in various areas under the Mugda Police Station. The operation took place on Thursday, with the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) issuing a statement on Friday confirming the arrests. The arrested individuals include Md Kamrul Hasan (65), Mahbub (19), Arif (19), Liton Ali (28), Md Sohag Hossain (23), Md Halim (42), Md Ibrahim (24), Md Jobair Ahmed Apu (27), Abdur Rahim (26), Md Imran (24), Md Manik (20), and Md Sohel (25). All were produced before the court, according to the DMP statement.

The DMP has indicated that such operations will continue as part of their efforts to maintain law and order in the capital. The arrests are part of a broader initiative aimed at curbing criminal activities in Dhaka.

This operation reflects the ongoing commitment of law enforcement agencies to ensure public safety and reduce crime rates in the city. The authorities are keen on sending a strong message to potential offenders that criminal activities will not be tolerated.
