Mugda police have arrested 12 people in a special operation as part of their ongoing anti-crime drives. The operation, conducted on Thursday in various areas under Mugda Police Station, aimed to maintain law and order in the capital. According to a Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) statement, the arrested individuals are Md Kamrul Hasan (65), Mahbub (19), Arif (19), Liton Ali (28), Md Sohag Hossain (23), Md Halim (42), Md Ibrahim (24), Md Jobair Ahmed Apu (27), Abdur Rahim (26), Md Imran (24), Md Manik (20), and Md Sohel (25). They were produced before the court following their arrest.

The DMP emphasized that such operations will continue to ensure the safety and security of Dhaka's residents. The arrests are part of a broader initiative to curb criminal activities and enhance public safety in the city.

Mugda Police Station has been actively involved in anti-crime activities, working to identify and apprehend individuals involved in various illegal activities. The recent operation reflects the police's commitment to maintaining a secure environment for the community.

The detainees, aged between 19 and 65, were taken into custody following the operation. Their arrests are expected to have a deterrent effect on potential offenders, reinforcing the message that criminal activities will not be tolerated.

Authorities have not disclosed specific charges against the detainees, but their production before the court suggests that legal proceedings will follow. The police's proactive approach underscores their dedication to upholding law and order in Dhaka.
