The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has taken stringent action against traffic rule violations by filing 1,463 cases in the last 24 hours.

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed 1,463 cases for violating traffic rules in different parts of the capital during the last 24 hours till last evening. The Traffic Division of the DMP conducted campaigns against traffic violations till 6.00 pm on Wednesday.

Zone-wise Breakdown of Cases

The cases were distributed across various zones in Dhaka. Specifically, 81 cases were filed under Ramna Zone, 143 under Lalbagh Zone, 98 under Motijheel Zone, and 425 under Wari Zone. Additionally, 144 cases were filed under Tejgaon Zone, 201 under Mirpur Zone, 203 under Uttara Zone, and 168 under Gulshan Zone.

Vehicle Seizures and Towing

During the campaign, the DMP traffic police dumped 457 motor vehicles and towed 252 vehicles. This action underscores the police's commitment to enforcing traffic regulations and ensuring road safety.
