A mass shooting near Seattle's Space Needle landmark killed three people and wounded at least four others, including a toddler, during a food festival on Sunday. Seattle Police arrested one suspect and are searching for another after the incident in a popular tourist district.

Assistant Police Chief Tyrone Davis reported that shots were heard around 6:00 pm, with two people believed to be shooting at each other. Two weapons were recovered. There is no outstanding threat to the community.

Four patients, including a child, a woman in surgery, a 23-year-old man, and a 39-year-old woman, are being treated at Harborview Medical Center. All are in stable condition.

Washington Governor Bob Ferguson and Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson expressed condolences and gratitude to responders. The shooting occurred during the 'Bite of Seattle' summer festival.

Witnesses described hearing multiple shots and running for safety. The incident has heightened concerns about public safety during large events.
