Leaders of the Nationalist Sports Front and members recently appointed to the ad-hoc committees of various sports federations paid tribute to Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman by placing floral wreaths at his grave in Dhaka. The event, organized by the Nationalist Sports Front, included a special prayer at the mausoleum. Key figures such as senior joint convener Moinul Haque Moin, office secretary Mizanur Rahman Don, general secretary Jahed Parvez Chowdhury, and convener Niaz Morshed Chowdhury were present. Following the change of government, the ad-hoc committees of twenty-seven sports federations were dissolved and replaced with new committees, comprising former athletes and sports organizers selected for their experience and contributions.

The Nationalist Sports Front expressed gratitude to State Minister for Youth and Sports Md Aminul Haque, with the founding convener stating their commitment to developing the country's sports sector under his guidance, with a zero-tolerance policy against irregularities and corruption.

Jahed Parvez Chowdhury, National Sports Council Director (Sports) and Member Secretary of the Nationalist Sports Front, warned that strict action would be taken against any irregularities or corruption found in the newly formed ad-hoc committees. He also mentioned that efforts are underway to hold elections in all sports federations within the next three months.

This tribute underscores the ongoing efforts to honor Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman while reinforcing the commitment to uphold integrity and excellence in Bangladesh's sports sector.
