The Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board has directed all madrasas nationwide to display banners promoting the government's 'Notun Kuri Sports 2026-2027' programme. The initiative aims to ensure wider publicity and encourage student participation in the sports programme.

Government Sports Initiative

The Ministry of Youth and Sports launched the 'Notun Kuri Sports' programme in alignment with the government's dedication to discovering and cultivating sports talent across the nation. The programme targets promising athletes aged 12 to 14, aiming to develop them into skilled competitors capable of performing at national and international levels.

Implementation and Registration

The programme was formally inaugurated by the Prime Minister at Sylhet District Stadium on May 2 this year. Upazila-level competitions in 10 sporting disciplines are set to commence in September 2026. Registration for participation will remain open until August 31. The Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board has instructed principals, superintendents, heads of institutions, and managing committees to prominently display banners at key locations on their campuses to raise awareness and boost student involvement.
